A valued repeat customer, who we have gained a reputation with, for solving complex build projects for a variety of reasons, including: scheduling due to term times, asbestos present, building conversions. Recent projects at this prestigious, independent, boys college include:
Conversion of large agricultural style building, used for machinery and furniture storage, into a modern staff welfare facility for the grounds teams. The new facility boasts, changing rooms, shower rooms, drying rooms, WC’s, offices and large kitchen and breakout space. The whole building was stripped out to a shell and re-built from the inside with new ceilings, fire rating between floors, new partitions and doors, new electrical systems including rewire, new hot water systems, sheet vinyl, LVT and carpet floor finishes, decorations to the first floor. The ground floor was transformed into a purpose built machinery and equipment store with the addition of a machining bay.
Refurbishment and upgrade of staff flats to provide newly finished properties with the addition of acoustic treatments to the entire block. Each flat was fitted out with new kitchen, bathroom, electrics, hot water systems, upgrades to ceilings and floors to reduce noise transfer, new carpets and flooring and decorations including tiling. The common parts were also refurbished with new flooring, decorations and acoustic treatments including acoustic soil stack through all floors.
Boys boarding house living and games rooms upgrade to provide more open plan space for both socialising and whole house meetings. The brief was to provide a classy space with a not to country house hotel. There was significant asbestos present in the building, so we engaged our specialist to undertake cleans and removal in both ceilings and floor finishes. By knocking through to an unused storage area we were able to enlarge the main lounge area to incorporate ample seating, areas for the house favourite chess and even fit the pool table into the space which adjoins the main games room in the adjacent space. The House Master, House Team and Boys are all delighted with their new living quarters!
