Safety First

Cre8tive Space is proud to hold it’s Safe Contractor and CHAS accreditations.  Why is this so important for a commercial fit out company like us?  Firstly it offers all of our customers the peace of mind that as a business we are recognised within the industry for ensuring our health and safety standards and that our documentation is up to date and meets industry recognised standards.

CDM 2015 puts a heavy onus on The Client to take ultimate responsibility for the safe running of projects they instruct are carried out on their behalf.  I don’t think anyone will doubt that this is a heavy burden – most company directors (outside the construction industry) will have little to no experience of what is required to safely run a construction project.  The HSE provide clear guidance on this which can be found here.  In addition to this guide for clients, we also fully support all of our customers in fulfilling their responsibilities in this regard.

Both the CHAS and Safe Contractor schemes set a high bar for being awarded accreditation.  They both take into account health and safety primarily but also assess based on company financials, environmental standards and ethics.  Every year they raise the bar to ensure that only the best companies achieve the right to boast to be accredited by this nationally recognised scheme.  Being Safe Contractor and CHAS approved contractors means our customers instantly have peace of mind, knowing that they are working with a company that takes health and safety seriously.

Health and safety is at the heart of everything we do as a business.  We have implemented strict COVID 19 safety measures across our sites to comply with government guidance.

Safety over profit – always!  Our people are our greatest asset and we will do everything we can to protect them, the public and our front line services.
